SAML Authentication
QMetry supports SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) for secure single sign-on (SSO) authentication. SAML is an XML-based standard that enables the exchange of authentication and authorization data between an identity provider (IdP) and a service provider (SP).
By integrating SAML, administrators allow users to log in to QMetry using a single set of credentials across applications, eliminating the need for separate passwords. Currently, QMetry supports Okta as the SAML provider.
What QMetry Supports?
Your identity provider (IdP) configuration and your organization's security review may require details about how QMetry supports federation. Use the following information when you configure your IdP or complete a federation request.
Single sign-on initiation
QMetry supports SP-Initiated SSO. Select this option when a federation request asks how the federation journey is initiated.
SP-Initiated SSO is the recommended option.
Certificate
QMetry supports Self Signed certificates. Select this option when a federation request asks for the certificate type.
The certificate must be SHA-256 compliant.
Workload scenario
QMetry runs as a Containerised workload on AWS. Select this option when a federation request asks whether your workload matches one of the pre-defined scenarios.
