Test Result Log
The Test Result Log displays detailed information about each test execution.
As each test completes, the Status column updates with the execution result. The log provides a full run summary, indicates results, and contains detailed information for each test operation.
The Test Result Log also captures and displays Test Case Execution user-defined field (UDF) details whenever the execution status is updated.
The Test Result Log is available in two locations:
Audit and Compliance: Displays test result logs across all releases.
Execution screen: Displays the test result log for the current test suite only.
View Test Result Logs
To view test result log, perform these steps:
Open the Test Suite Execution Screen.
Click Cog (⚙️) icon and click Test Result Log.
Where the Test Result Log appears
The Test Case Execution UDFs column and its data are available in all of the following locations.
Execution screen (detail view): The Test Result Log panel on the test case detail view. Displays the log for the current test suite.
Execution screen (default view): The Test Result Log accessible from the default execution screen. Displays the log for the current test suite.
QMetry System Reports: Test Result Log Report: The system report and all its export formats, including CSV.
Audit and Compliance downloads: The Test Result Log download under Customisation, then General Settings and Audit. Displays logs across all releases for the configured retention period.
Note
Test Case Execution UDF values are captured for both individual and bulk execution status update operations across all locations listed above.
Columns in the Test Result Log
The Test Result Log includes the following columns. The Test Case Execution UDFs column is new and captures UDF values as recorded at the time the execution status was updated.

Test Suite Summary | The name of the test suite containing the test case. |
Test Case Summary | The name of the test case that was executed. |
Status | The execution result recorded when the status was updated. |
Platform | The platform on which the test case was executed. |
Executed at | The date and time the execution status was updated. |
Executed by | The user who updated the execution status. |
Test Run UDFs | A consolidated view of all UDFs and their values as recorded at the time the execution status update. |
Release | The release associated with the test suite. |
Cycle | The cycle associated with the test suite. |
Latest Executed Build | The build used during the last execution. |
Note
If no UDF values are set at the time of the status update, the Test Case Execution UDFs column is empty for that entry.
UDF values reflect the state at the time of the update, not the current value of the field.
Filtering the Log
Select the Filter button to narrow the Test Result Log to the entries you need. You can filter by the following criteria.
Test suite: Filter by one or more test suite names.
Test case: Filter by one or more test case names.
Status: Filter by execution status such as Passed, Failed, or Blocked.
Platform: Filter by the platform used during execution.
Executed at: Filter by a date range.
Executed by: Filter by the user who updated the execution status.
Release: Filter by release.
Cycle: Filter by cycle
Exporting the Test Result Log
Export the Test Result Log from QMetry System Reports to share results with stakeholders. The export includes the Test Case Execution UDFs column.
To export the Test Result Log, do the following:
Go to QMetry System Reports.
Select Test Result Log Report.
Apply filters to narrow the results if needed.
Select the export format and download the file.
