Linking Test Cases to Requirements
Track coverage and validation throughout the testing process by linking test cases to corresponding requirements. This helps ensure full traceability and comprehensive testing against all requirements.
Note
View linked test cases to a requirement under the Test Cases tab.
Test Cases Count displays the number of linked test cases.
The system shows counts for Unarchived and Archived Test Cases seperately.
Clicking Test Case Entity Key opens the test case detail page in the respective project and switches your current project.
Selecting Test Cases to Link
Link test cases to a requirement from:
Requirement Details Page.
Requirement Edit Screen.
To link test cases, perform the following steps:

Go to the Test Cases tab on the Requirement Details Page.
Click Link.
Select a project and pick the test cases.
Note
Click the + icon to select a specific version of the test case.
Click .

To link test cases from multiple projects, click before switching the project. Once you have selected all the test cases click .
To link a new test case, click the Create New Test Case hyperlink. Perform the steps to create a new test case. Click Refresh and Link.
Test Cases of Release and Cycle to this Requirement: Link test cases that belong to a specific Release and Cycle to a given Requirement.
Linking Test Case by Entity Key
Link the latest version of a test case to a requirement using the test case entity key separated by comma.
Note
Link a maximum 500 entities at a time.
The system skips the test case if it can not find a matching key.
The system links a test case key only once, even if it appears multiple times.
If an older version of a test case is linked, the system skips the latest version and does not replace it.
The system skips archived versions and links only the latest unarchived version of the test case.
To link test cases by entity key, perform the following steps:
Go to the Test Cases tab on the requirement detail page.
Click Link by Entity Key.

Mention comma-seperated test case keys.
Click Link.
Unlinking Test Cases from a Requirement
To unlink test cases from a requirement, perform the following steps:
Go to the Test Cases tab of the requirement details page.
Select the test cases to unlink.
Click Unlink Selected.
Click Yes.
