Bulk Operations

Bulk Operations allows batch actions such as edit, comment, delete, export, copy, move, and archive on requirements, test cases, and test suites modules.

Note

  • Filter the records on folders, system, custom, or Jira fields.

  • If you have integrated Jira with the current project then you can filter the requirements by Jira fields. Users can then perform bulk operations on filtered records.

  • You cannot perform bulk operations on issues imported from Jira.

Note

Perform bulk operations on up to 1,000 records at a time. The system disables the Bulk Operations button when test assets exceed this limit.

Steps to Perform Bulk Operations

To perform bulk edit actions, perform these steps:

  1. Go to the specific module.

  2. Click the Cog(⚙️) icon and select Bulk Operations.

  3. Step1: Choose Operation

  4. Step2: Select Records

    • To select individual record, select the check box.

    • To select all records across pages, click Select All.

    • Select a particular Version of the test asset to edit. Test Cases with multiple versions are expandable and you can view all the available versions.

  5. Step3: Operation Details

    • Bulk Edit

      You can perform the following updates in bulk edit:

      Bulk Operations for Test Cases:

      • Bulk link Test cases with Requirements.

      • Bulk edit specific versions of test cases.

      • Bulk link attachments.

      • Bulk link Releases and Cycles.

      Bulk Operations for Requirements:

      • Bulk link Requirements with Test cases Issues.

      • Bulk edit specific versions of Requirements

      • Bulk link attachments.

      • Bulk link Releases and Cycles.

      Bulk Operations for Test Suites:

      • Bulk link Test suites with Platforms and Test cases.

      • Bulk link attachments.

      • Bulk link Releases and Cycles.

      After making necessary updates, you can opt to:

      • Save As New Version: This creates a new version of the selected records with updated changes.

      • Update: This updates the current version of the selected records.

      In case of Test Suite, select Update.

    • Copy

      • Select whether you want to copy a specific version or all versions of the assets.

      • Click the destination folder to copy the assets.

      • To copy assets to a new location, select Add Folder and create a new folder.

      • Click Copy.

    • Move

      • Select the test assets to move.

      • Click the destination folder to move the assets.

      • To move assets to a new location, select Add Folder and create a new folder.

      • Click Move.

    • Archive and Delete

      • Select the test assets.

      • Click Archive or Delete

      • Click Yes.

        Note

        • The Archive operation archives all versions of the test assets and removes their folder associations.

        • Only archived records can be deleted.

    • Unarchive

      • Select the records

      • Click Unarchive.

      • Select the folder to store the unarchived test assets.

    In case of test cases, you can also perform the following bulk operations:

    • Share

      • Select the records.

      • Select Project, Release and Cycle to share selected Test Cases as Child Test Cases.

      • Click Yes to confirm.
