Basic Folder Operations
Folders help you organize related test assets, making them easier to manage.
Create a folder at the root level or as a subfolder within existing folders. Perform folder operations like copy, move, archive, or delete as needed. This enables bulk actions on the assets within.
You can also share folder links across different communication channels. Team members with the access rights can access the folder and its assets.
Understanding Folder Asset Count
The system displays the total count of assets, including both active and archived, next to each folder.
![]() |
Let's say the folder hierarchy is Folder A contains Folder B and Folder B contains Folder C.
If:
Folder A contains 5 assets
Folder B contains 3 assets
Folder C contains 2 assets
Then, the folder view will display:
Folder A (10) – Parent folder
Folder B (5) – Child folder
Folder C (2) – Subfolder of Folder B
The count for each folder includes assets within that folder and all of its subfolders.
Displaying Entities from Sub-Folders at Parent Folder
Include or exclude test assets from sub-folders at the parent folder level.
To hide the entities from the sub-folder:
Open the Options drop-down as shown in image.
Deselect Include Entities from Sub-Folder.

All About Folder Descriptions

Folder descriptions support large text and rich text formatting.
Go to Project Settings and turn on the Enable rich text editor option.
Folder descriptions cannot be added to the root folder.
Editing an Existing Folder Name
To edit an existing folder name, perform the following steps:
Select the folder.
Click the Edit icon on the toolbar.
Edit the folder name and click .
Copying Folder Link
Generate a direct link to any folder in the test repository and share it for quick access. There are two approaches.
A. Right-click on the Folder to Copy the Folder Link
Right-click on the folder to copy.
Select the Copy Folder Link option.
B. Copy the Folder Link from Breadcrumb Navigation
Go to the breadcrumb navigation in the module details page.
Hover over the folder name and click the Copy icon.
The folder link is copied to the clipboard. You can share this link using email or messaging apps. Users with necessary permissions can view all the assets listed in the folder.
Note
Lacking necessary permissions throws error message: "You do not have sufficient permissions to view this folder."
For deleted, renamed, or moved, folders, the system throws: "The folder no longer exists or has been moved."
The link only navigates to the folder location and expanded hierarchy; applied filters are not retained.
Sorting and Clear Sorting
Sort the folder structure either alphabetically or by date (newest first or oldest first).
