Editing Requirements

Update a requirement either within the current version or by creating a new version.

Editing Current Version

Make modifications and update the current version of a requirement.

  1. Go to Requirements detail screen.

  2. Select the Details tab.

  3. Hover over the values to edit and use the in-place editor.

  4. Enter the new values and save your changes.

Note

Editing the folder path moves the asset to the new folder.

Creating a New Version

Versioning allows organizations to track changes made to specific fields across different versions of a requirement.

Note

  • Only users with “versioning” rights can see the Save As New Version icon.

  • Versioning rights are assigned from Roles.

To create a new version of a requirement:

  1. Click Create New Version icon.

  2. Make the changes and select Save As New Version.

  3. Add Comments for reference.

  4. Enter description explaining the relevance of this requirement version.

Create a new version of the requirement from the requirement grid view:

  1. Go to the Requirement grid view.

  2. Click the Cog (⚙️) icon for the requirement and select Create New Version.
